Digipay offers a credit product to empower users to make purchases and repay them in convenient monthly installments. Qualification for this service is determined by a user's credit score, which dictates the maximum credit limit available.
During the check out process, users encounter the *Purchase Info* step. This step clarifies the breakdown between the cash amount required upfront and the portion covered by the user's credit balance. It provides a view of any associated fees and additional services. Users also have the flexibility to adjust the credit amount they wish to utilize.
Our checkout page struggles with low conversion rates. Testing reveals that unclear information, poor layout, and friction in the Purchase Info section hinder user confidence, affecting both experience and business outcomes.
If we achieve these metrics-allowing users to navigate checkout with confidence, easily review payments, adjust credit, and ultimately double the conversion rate-we will consider it a success.
As the core product designer, I led the design process in close collaboration with the product lead and engineering team, delivering an MVP within a single sprint for a swift launch and a strong foundation for future improvements.
